The very nature of growing in spirituality means that at some stage we will change our outlook on life, our priorities, and consequently our habits. For any changes that we wish to make in our life, it is certainly helpful to have information, support and encouragement. It also helps to have friends with the same interests. ISKCON
at Bhaktivedanta Manor provides various levels of support to its members - firstly
through the many books, magazines, and video and audio tapes on the subject of
Krishna consciousness. Our mail-order section offers these and many other items
to help members with the culture of spiritual life at home. Next, as well as offering courses on weekends, devotees from the Manor travel out to visit new and experienced members in their homes. We help to link up members in the same part of the country, and, if they want to, we'll give all support for the formation of a monthly or weekly meeting. Bhaktivedanta Manor is responsible for supervising groups throughout the South through to Bristol and eastwards up to Norwich. In Greater London there are, of course, many groups and the number is growing all the time. Although the activities of individual groups vary according to their membership, each meeting will usually include some musical chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra, reading and discussion from the Bhagavad-gita, followed by the famous Krishna food of course! Individuals and groups are connected through a newsletter and an annual convention. Please look at our listing for the connection nearest you. |
