| The
International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) was established by His
Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1966. In three decades no
other organisation has done so much to introduce the world to India's spiritual
heritage. ISKCON is at the forefront of this worldwide spiritual revolution. In practically every country of the world, devotees of ISKCON work selflessly to teach the message of sanatan-dharma. Temples have been established in most major cities as embassies of spiritual solace. Farming
communities provide the ideal place to cultivate 'simple living and high thinking'
and they practically demonstrate self-sufficiency and cow protection. Gurukula
schools have been set up to provide the perfect balance of spiritual and material
education. ISKCON now publishes the Vedic literature in 150 languages, and in just two decades, has sold about 300 million books worldwide. What makes ISKCON so special is that it attracts dedicated volunteers to give their full service to this vital mission. It is a unique movement and you are invited to observe, learn and take with you the philosophy, culture and practices of ISKCON. (Copyright BBT-International) |
