Krishna
comes in many forms to this world, and throughout human history He attempts to
bring enlightenment to those who have forgotten Him. His most merciful incarnation
is that when He appears in a disguised form, as His own devotee. In this avatara,
God Himself is appearing as a saint and teaching the world how to know, serve
and love Him. Chaitanya, who appeared within this world as recently as 1486, is
depicted with arms raised in the joyful dance of divine supplication. His feet,
resting here on a coloured lotus, are slightly moving. He is accompanied by His
closest associate, Nityananda Prabhu
