| Bhaktivedanta Manor is a place dedicated to the spiritual upliftment of human society. Through spiritual life, education and culture, this rural retreat serves as a window to Vrindavan, Lord Krishna's eternal home. Offering the simple precepts of Krishna consciousness taught by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, it is a God-centred community enabling people from all walks of life to find refuge, a sense of belonging and fellowship, and spiritual meaning and fulfillment. The Manor itself, donated in 1973 by George Harrison, serves as a theological college and has a magnificent shrine for the worship of Shri Shri Radha-Gokulananda and Shri Shri Sita-Rama, In the last two decades, Bhaktivedanta Manor has become renowned as an important place of pilgrimage. People are attracted to the worship, the farm and the gardens. Visitors frequently express appreciation of the Manor's enchanting atmosphere - not only its vigour but also its radiant peace and tranquility. The temple exists for the very purpose of creating a pure and soothing atmosphere that uplifts and uphold us, directing our attention towards Krishna. Guests come for weekend courses just to get away from it all or to step off the treadmill of contemporary life - for reflection, contemplation and meditation or to give themselves time to regenerate their inner resources in order to improve their service to others. Some come to experience and explore the relevance of Krishna consciousness to their own lives. Bhaktivedanta Manor offers a spiritually uplifting experience. The centre functions from 4.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. every day of the year. There is a large team of dedicated devotees working constantly to keep the centre going - cooking, teaching, cleaning, repairing, doing administrative and secretarial duties and so on. At Bhaktivedanta Manor the work to teach and spread sanatana-dharma never stops. Step into Bhaktivedanta Manor through the following pages and become part of this exciting project. |
