Volunteer group of Bhaktivedanta Manor Hare Krishna Volunteers is the official volunteer group for Bhaktivedanta Manor. This group of dedicated volunteers regularly help with organising festivals and other major projects at Bhaktivedanta Manor. One of the major achievements of the group was in 1996 with the building of the new access drive. Members of the Hare Krishna Volunteers worked many late evenings to make sure the road was completed before Janmashtami. Last year the volunteers embarked on a major project of creating Vrindavan at Bhaktivedanta Manor. They organised the planting of over 4,000 trees and 10,000 shrubs. Despite the difficult weather conditions, dedicated volunteers carried on the task to forest the new land. The species of tree planted include Oak, Ash and Lime. The volunteers also help in the maintenance of the Manor estate by taking part in various activities such as tiding the grounds, painting, keeping the lake clean and gardening. Due to its size, much attention is needed in the upkeep of the Manor building. Maybe you're a plumber, a carpenter, or an electrician or may be you have some other skills to offer in the service of maintaining Lord Krishna's temple. Hare Krishna Volunteers consists of members of all age groups. The success of Bhaktivedanta Manor is accredited to this group. However, much more help in needed. We invite you all to offer a little of your time in this service. Join the team of volunteers and watch the spiritual vision of Shrila Prabhupada, the vision to create Vrindavan at Bhaktivedanta Manor, gradually unfold before us. |
