Serving Their Lordships
Bhaktivedanta Manor is famous for its very high standard of Deity worship. Their Lordships Radha Gokulananda and Gaura Nitai have been continuously worshipped with great opulence since Srila Prabhupada installed them in 1973. Sita, Rama, Lakshman and Hanuman have been similarly worshipped since 1981.
Many devotees have worked hard to maintain these standards and today the pujari (deity worship) department includes 14 dedicated full time workers and about 15 part-time. Throughout the day, every day, these devotees are engaged in dressing and bathing Their Lordships, cooking, arati ceremonies, cleaning, preparing paraphernalia, offering food etc.
