Srila Prabhupada set up an international
publishing company called the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust which
to this day publishes divine literature on a mass scale.
With this understanding, devotees at
Bhaktivedanta Manor make it their mission to send out a group
of devotees every day to distribute these books that are so
dear to Srila Prabhupada. Book distribution continues to go
from strength to strength at the Manor. Last year a steady
team of dedicated devotees managed to distribute around 79,000
books in towns and villages across the UK! Book distribution
is a very difficult and demanding activity, but because it is
especially pleasing to Lord Chaitanya and Lord Krishna, great
pleasure and transcendental bliss is derived from the service.
Volunteer Opportunities
Going out on Book distribution door to door
with perhaps a small team.
Training & Coaching
will be provided. (In the beginning we would like you
to just accompany the team and see how they do it, please
don’t feel pressured to start straight away, we want to ensure
sure you feel relatively confident before approaching the
public yourself.
Or why not be a Sankirtan Back up. You can
input the Marathon book scores, organising or picking up book
stock etc.
