DESCRIPTION:Sunday 5 March 2023\n\nTickets will be required for entry between 10am-7pm. We are at capacity\, no more tickets left.\nGaura Purnima is the anniversary of the appearance of Lord Caitanya\, who is Krishna himself in the role of His own devotee. He appeared in 1486 in Mayapur\, West Bengal. \nGaura Purnima provides a golden opportunity to reflect on Lord Caitanya’s mission of spreading Nama Sankirtana to every town and village\, and chant the holy names of the Lord. \nThe Holika Dahan bonfire is a ceremonial tradition performed based on the past-times of Prahlad Maharaja. The fire is meant to symbolise protection\, and the importance of faith in Lord Sri Krishna. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule\n\n\n\n\n10am-9:30pm: Darshan \n10am-8pm: Kirtan (Sri Krishna Haveli) \n3pm-7:30pm: Holika Dahan \nPrasadam will be served throughout the day \nNote: There will be no rang mela (throwing of coloured powders) at this festival \n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\nTo help ensure that every pilgrim\, visitor & well-wisher is able to have a pleasant experience\, we require you to book a ticket. Without a ticket\, we will be unable to permit entry\, so please ensure that you do book. \n\nBook your free ticket\n\n\nFrequently asked questions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy do I need a ticket?\n\n\n\n– By booking your time slot\, this helps us create a better and smoother experience for you\, with shorter queues and more space to participate in the festival. \n– Reduces heavy traffic in the surrounding area\, making it easier for you to attend and creates less disruption for locals and non festival-goers. \n– Helps us to be less wasteful\, as we can prepare appropriate quantities of resources and prasadam (sanctified food). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat are the ticket times?\n\n\n\nA ticket is required to enter Bhaktivedanta Manor between 10am-7pm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo children need tickets?\n\n\n\nTickets are not required for children under 5. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat happens if I arrive without a ticket?\n\n\n\nIn order to enter Bhaktivedanta Manor on this day\, a ticket is required. If tickets are still available\, we may ask you to book a ticket online via your phone. If not you will be returned from the car parks. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCan I come for mangal arati and guru puja?\n\n\n\nYes. you are welcome to come to Bhaktivedanta Manor before 10am. But if you arrive during the event time (10am–7pm)\, then you will need an entry ticket to enter Bhaktivedanta Manor\, as without a ticket in those times\, you will not be allowed entry. If you arrive before 10am\, you will be allowed to stay for the rest of the day without a ticket. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow long can I stay?\n\n\n\nYou are welcome to stay and enjoy the festivities for as long as you like. Your ticket time only relates to your arrival time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat if I arrive earlier / later than my booked arrival time?\n\n\n\nIf you arrive 30 mins before or after your booked arrival time\, then you will still be allowed entry. Any earlier than that\, we may ask you to please come back later\, closer to your booked time. Any later than that\, we will try our best to accommodate you\, but it may not be possible to allow entry due to limited parking. The reason for the cost is to ensure your space is guaranteed and that an accurate use of bus spaces can be planned ahead of time. \nYour bus ticket will work as an entry ticket for the festival if using the service. Please do not book a separate entry ticket for the festival.
