DESCRIPTION:Friday 5 August – 6pm\nSaturday 6 August – 5-7pm\nSunday 7 August – 4-6pm\n3 day event with HG Radhika Raman Das – The Glories of Srimad Bhagavatam & its Lessons on Forgiveness. \nRadhika Raman Das is a notable Vaishnava scholar\, author\, and editor. He holds numerous degrees including a PhD in Hinduism from the University of Oxford. He also holds the Charles Redd Chair of Religious Studies at Utah State University\, and serves as Director of the Religious Studies Program. \nHe is the author or editor of four books\, including an abridged translation of the Bhagavata Purana.He has received four teaching awards\, a National Endowment for the Humanities summer fellowship\, and two research fellowships at Oxford. He is a Permanent Research Fellow of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies and a past president of the Society for Hindu Christian Studies. His current research focuses on the Bhagavata Purana’s Sanskrit commentaries. DESCRIPTION:Friday 12 August 2022\nMichael Cassidy [Mangalananda Das] was born May 16\, 1949 in Manchester\, New Hampshire\, USA. \nIn 1971\, Michael became an initiated disciple of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami\, the renowned scholar who translated Bhagavad-gita: As It Is\, the jewel of India’s spiritual wisdom. The combination of studying the teachings of bhakti-yoga and practicing the disciplines became a continuous source of inspiration and enlightenment for Michael. He had the opportunity to debut his work prior to his first indie release\, A Change of Heart. In an intimate meeting with his spiritual teacher in 1975\, his guru was very pleased and blessed the project. A Change of Heart was released in 1976 followed by four more albums between 1977 and 1985. \nThis concert is free for everyone to attend\, no ticket required. A unique opportunity to hear many well-known devotional songs in person.
