He never accepted material goods from anyone\, wearing discarded loincloths from corpses left on the bank of the Ganges. He begged for rice\, soaking it in river water\, and adding only salt and chilies. Accepting no favors\, he remained fully detached from all possessions. \nSrila Gaura Kishora das Babaji lived for some thirty years in Vrindavana\, serving the deities and offering his prostrate obeisances to all the living entities of Vraja\, whom he considered to be embodiments of Sri Krsna. He eventually left Vrindavana for Navadvipa. \nAt Navadvipa\, Srila Gaura Kishora das Babaji entered moods of deep spiritual ecstasy\, sometimes dancing on the bank of the Ganges chanting\, “Gaura\, Gaura”. \nBhishma Panchaka \nThe last five days of the month of Kartik are traditionally known as Bhishma Panchaka or Vishnu Panchaka. Those who fail to observe four months of Caturmasya fasting receive the same benefit by fasting on these last five days. \nRūpa Gosvāmī has stated in the Nectar of Devotion that although any devotional service offered to the Lord is extremely powerful\, five are especially potent; \n1- Residing in the holy place \n2- Worshipping the Deity of the Lord \n3- Reciting Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam \n4- Serving a devotee \n5- Chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra \nAt the temple\, we automatically engage in all five potent activities. Bhaktivedanta Manor is a holy place because Radha Gokulananda are residing there. Attending the arati ceremony involves worshipping the deity and chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra. He was expert at everything: cooking\, preaching\, Deity worship\, public relations\, sankirtan\, selling incense\, construction\, and everything else it takes to run a temple. He was a tireless worker. He would be the first one up in the morning and the last one to sleep at night. It was Jayananda who was always running out to get the flowers\, Jayananda who was washing dishes and making sure the kitchen was clean\, Jayananda who was often missing class while he was out doing some service\, and Jayananda who was always encouraging others to go out and preach\, and setting the example himself. \nWhatever assignment he was given\, he would always get done\, even if he had to suffer personally for it. DESCRIPTION:Wed 25 June 2025\nSrila Bhaktivinoda Thakur (1838-1914) is a prominent preceptor acharya in our succession of spiritual masters and disciples coming from Lord Krishna. He was a pioneering spiritual leader\, a householder\, a magistrate working in colonial India under the British rule\, a prolific preacher\, writer\, and poet. He wrote volumes of books reintroducing the pure teachings of Lord Chaitanya at a time when those teachings had practically become lost. He composed hundreds of devotional songs glorifying Krishna to uplift the consciousness of the suffering people of this world. He corresponded with philosophers\, theologians\, leaders\, scholars\, and professors of his time and sent books\, including The Life and Precepts of Lord Chaitanya\, to university libraries in foreign countries\, planting the seeds for a worldwide movement of Krishna consciousness. Bhaktivinoda Thakur discovered and excavated the birthplace of Lord Chaitanya. Along with his devoted wife\, Bhagavati Devi\, he raised ten children\, including the illustrious Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur\, who would become a great spiritual leader in his own time and the spiritual master of ISKCON’s founder-acharya\, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. \nDisappearance of Sri Gadhadhara Pandit \nAlso celebrated on this day is the Disappearance of Sri Gadadhara Pandit. Sri Gadadhara Pandita is among the group known as the Panca-tattva\, consisting of Caitanya Mahaprabhu and four of His closest associates. Sri Gadadhara Pandita spent most of his life in Jagannatha Puri worshiping the Tota-Gopinatha Deity\, who is still worshiped in Puri. Together Krishna and Balarama enact many pastimes as cowherd boys in the land of Vrindavan. \nLord Balarama exemplifies the service attitude to Krishna. DESCRIPTION:6 October – 5 November 2025\n\nDuring this time\, pilgrims come from far and wide to offer a lamp to Mother Yasoda and Lord Krishna\, and also increase their spiritual activities. The importance of this month is described extensively in the scriptures\, especially in Srila Rupa Goswami’s Mathura Mahatmya. \nEvery day\, devotees come to the Temple and offer a candle to Lord Damodara and read Krishna book. The Damodarastakam\, a series of eight beautiful verses by the great sage Satyavrata Muni\, is sung daily in the morning and evening. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Daily Schedule\n\nMorning – Candle offering – 7am – 7:20am \nEvening – Candle offering – 4:20pm  – 7:30pm \nKrishna Book reading- Prabhupada’s Rooms – 7:30pm  – 8:30pm \nNotes:\nCandles will be provided free of charge to everyone. Please do not bring your own candles\, lamps or ghee wicks for offering. One candle per person. \nOfferings will be paused between 6:30pm – 7pm as the curtains will be closed at this time. During this time there will be a special talk given on Krishna’s pastimes. \nChildren under 5 will not be given a candle. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda\, Founder-Ācārya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. \nPlease come and join us in reading the stories about Lord Krishna in the very same rooms where Śrīla Prabhupāda translated many of his books. \nŚrīmad-Bhāgavatam 2.1.1 purport: Wherever the Ganges waters go\, they purify the land and the person who bathes in them. DESCRIPTION:Tues 21 October 2025\n\nDiwali celebrates the joyful day upon which Lord Rama returned to the kingdom of Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile. The name itself comes from Dipavali\, a Sanskrit word referring to the countless rows of lamps which His citizens had lit throughout the kingdom to welcome Him back home (dipa means “lamp\, light or candle\,” and avali means “rows”).
