If you arrive before 10am\, you will be allowed to stay for the rest of the day without a ticket. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat if our group is larger than the number of tickets available per booking?\n\n\n\nAfter your fist booking\, you can book again\, choosing the same time slot\, make two or more separate bookings to ensure your full party has tickets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow long can I stay?\n\n\n\nYou are welcome to stay and enjoy the festivities for as long as you like. Your ticket time only relates to your arrival time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat if I arrive earlier / later than my booked arrival time?\n\n\n\nIf you arrive 30 mins before or after your booked arrival time\, then you will still be allowed entry. SUMMARY:Diwali Darshan
DESCRIPTION:Monday 13 November 2023\n\nThe festival of Diwali is traditionally observed for five days\, but it mainly celebrates the joyful day upon which Lord Rama returned to the kingdom of Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile. The name itself comes from Dipavali\, a Sanskrit word referring to the countless rows of lamps which His citizens had lit throughout the kingdom to welcome Him back home (dipa means “lamp\, light or candle\,” and avali means “rows”). During a different era\, this was also the day when Lord Krishna performed His childhood pastime of breaking pots of yogurt and letting His mother bind Him with rope. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Schedule\n\nDarshan: 10am-7:30pm \nFarm: 10am-6pm \nCafé: 10am-7:30pm \nNo stage program or fireworks \nNo ticket required on this day (Please book your free ticket for Tuesday 14 November celebrations) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets for Tues 14 November – Celebrations\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDonate\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Frequently asked questions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo I need a ticket to attend?\n\n\n\nNo ticket required. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill there be parking available?\n\n\n\nYes. List of family members pdf \nAbout śrāddha from Srila Prabhupada\nSri Caitanya Mahaprabhu went to Gaya to offer respectful oblations to His forefathers. This process is called pinda-dana. In Vedic society\, after the death of a relative\, especially one’s father or mother\, one must go to Gaya and there offer oblations to the lotus feet of Lord\nVishnu. Therefore hundreds and thousands of men gather daily to offer such oblations\, or sraddha. Following this principle\, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu also went there to offer pinda to His dead father. (Sri Caitanya-caritamrta\, Adi 17.8\, Purport) \nAfter death according to Vedic regulations\, pinda-udaka\, pinda\, offering Vishnu prasada and water at least once in a year\, it is required by the family members. And according to Vedic culture\, there is one month fixed up in a year when all people will offer pinda and udaka to the forefathers. (Lecture\, London\, July 29\, 1973) \nImportance and need of performing śrāddha\nIn Srimad Bhagavatam Lord Sri Narasimha Himself recommends performing of Shraddha ceremony by His devotee Prahlada after delivering Hiranyakashipu. \nkuru tvaṁ preta-kṛ tyāni pituḥ pūtasya sarvaśaḥ\nMad-aṅ ga-sparśanenāṅ ga lokān yāsyati suprajāḥ\nMy dear child\, your father has already been purified just by the touch of My body at the time of his death. Nonetheless\, the duty of a son is to perform the śrāddha ritualistic ceremony after his father’s death so that his father may be promoted to a planetary system where he may become a good citizen and devotee. (SB 7.10.22) \nObjectives of performing śrāddha\n…What is putra pinda? Caitanya Mahaprabhu also showed us the example. He went to Gaya Pradesh to offer pinda for His forefathers. This is necessary still… There are many practical cases that one’s father or mother became a ghost after death\, and after offering oblations at the lotus feet of Vishnu at Gaya\, he was delivered. There are many cases. So\, actual fact is Vishnu worship. That is the ultimate goal of Vedic civilization\, but they do not know. (Srila Prabhupada lecture\, Surat\, January 3\, 1971) \nPrayers and types of the śrāddha ritual\nThe best process for the śrāddha ceremony is to distribute bhāgavata-prasāda (remnants of food that has first been offered to Kṛṣṇa) to all of one’s forefathers and relatives. This makes a first-class śrāddha ceremony. (SB 7.15 summary) \nThere are three kinds of ceremonies — specifically\, ceremonies to please the Supreme Personality of Godhead or the demigods\, those performed for social celebrations like marriages and birthdays\, and those meant to please the forefathers\, like the śrāddha ceremony. In all these ceremonies\, large amounts of money are spent for various activities\, but here it is suggested that if along with this there is recitation of the wonderful activities of Vāmanadeva\, certainly the ceremony will be carried out successfully and will be free of all discrepancies. (SB 8.23.31 purport) \nThe effects of the śrāddha ritual\nThere is a hell which is called pun. So from that hellish condition\, one who delivers\, trāyate iti tra\, therefore he is called putra. This is… Every Sanskrit word has got meaning\, root meaning. Putra. Putra-piṇḍa-prayojanam. Putra is required. Why? After death\, if by chance the father does not get ordinary life or goes to the hellish condition of life\, the son will deliver. Therefore śrāddha ceremony. There is śrāddha… What is that śrāddha ceremony? Śrāddha ceremony means to offer foodstuff to Viṣṇu\, and with the prasādam\, to the forefathers or father it is offered\, so that by eating prasādam\, if he is in ghost life or in hellish life\, he’ll be delivered. This is called śrāddha. (Srila Prabhupada lecture Vrindavan\, SB 1.5.24\, August 5\, 1974\,) \nWho can perform śrāddha\nSanatan Dharma that does not give any cause for excuse for not performing śrāddha due to the absence of a particular person. Son\, daughter\, grandson\, great grandson\, wife\, daughter’s son\, brother\, nephew\, cousin’s son\, father\, mother\, daughter-in-law\, son of elderly and younger sisters\, maternal uncle\, anyone in the seven generations and from the same lineage (sapiṇḍa)\, anyone after the seven generations and belonging to the same family domain (samanodak)\, disciple\, priests (upadhyay)\, friend\, son-in-law of the deceased can perform Śrāddha in that order. In case of a joint family\, the eldest and earning male should perform Śrāddha. In the case of the unit family\, everyone should perform śrāddha independently. \nSanatan Dharma has made arrangements so that for each and every dead person śrāddha can be performed so as to give momentum to that person to progress to a higher sub-plane. Dharma Sindhu mentions that: ‘If a particular dead person does not have any relative or a close person\, then it is the duty of the king to perform Śrāddha for that person. Normally every year Śrāddha should be performed on the date of death of the person (the Vaishnava calendar and not as per the Western calendar). \nConsidering the complexity in pronouncing certain Sanskrit words and limitation to understand the rites mentioned in the science\, it may not be possible for everyone to perform the ritual as prescribed\, by themselves. In such cases one can get the ritual performed through priests and if they are not available\, then the ritual can be performed with the help of knowledgeable people. \nIf the date is not known and only the month is known\, then in that case śrāddha can be performed on the last day of Śrāddha period. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Frequently asked questions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill there be parking available?\n\n\n\nYes. Free parking will be available all day. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow do I get there?\n\n\n\nAddress \nBhaktivedanta Manor \nHilfield Lane \nWatford \nSat-Nav: WD25 8HE \nNote: Entrance to temple is via Hilfield Lane only. SUMMARY:Jhulan Yatra
DESCRIPTION:27 – 31 August 2023\n\nThe five-day celebration of Jhulan at Bhaktivedanta Manor\, when Sri Sri Radha Gokulananda are placed on a swing and swung by Their devotees\, is a joyous occasion. \nDuring this special time all of us can throng to the temple and please the transcendental eternal forms of Sri Sri Radha Gokulananda. These transcendental forms of the Lord\, called Archa-Vigraha\, are installed in the temple and are non-different from Them personally. These forms are expanded by the Lord by His internal potency to facilitate the devotional service of His innumerable devotees who are in the material world. \nSince our material senses cannot perceive the spiritual nature of Sri Sri Radha Gokulananda\, They accept such Archa Vigraha apparently made of a material element such as marble\, but actually there is no material contamination. The  Supreme Personality of Godhead and His eternal consort are waiting for us to fill our hearts with transcendental happiness by serving Their beautiful transcendental forms as They swing at Bhaktivedanta Manor during Jhulan-yatra. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Schedule\n\nMorning 7am \nEvening 4:45pm-6:15pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Frequently asked questions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill there be parking available?\n\n\n\nYes. SUMMARY:London Rathayatra
DESCRIPTION:Sunday 30 July 2023 – Hyde Park Corner\n\n“Ratha-yatra” means “chariot festival”. This celebration has been held every year for hundreds of years at Jagannatha Puri\, in Orissa on India’s east coast. There\, three huge chariots\, carrying the Deity forms of Jagannatha\, Baladeva and Subhadra\, are pulled by hand through the city streets amid loud musical performances. Millions of pilgrims come to the festival in Orissa. Jagannatha is a special and very merciful form of Krishna. \nRatha-yatra is the biggest street festival sponsored by ISKCON – and ends with a delicious\, sanctified vegetarian feast. It is celebrated by devotees of Lord Krishna all over the world and was introduced to the West by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1967 in San Franscisco. The Ratha-yatra festivals are held at several different places across the country\, the biggest in London. \nThe London procession starts from Hyde Park Corner\, goes through Park Lane\, Piccadilly and Haymarket and finally arrives at Trafalgar Square\, where festivities continue till night. Drama\, dance\, philosophy and a feast are the highlights. \nLondon Rathayatra will take place on Sunday 30 July 2023 (www.rathayatra.co.uk) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Schedule\n\n12pm – Ratha-yatra parade starts from Hyde Park Corner heading for Trafalgar Square \n2-5pm – Trafalgar Square – Kirtan\, Dance\, Prasad \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Frequently asked questions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow do I get there?\n\n\n\nComing by Train & Tube\nFrom any of the main London railway stations come on the Piccadilly Line and get off at Hyde Park Corner. When you come out of the tube station head for the south-east corner of the Park. The Rathayatra assembles near there so look out for the tall brightly coloured canopies of the Rath Carts. \nNational Rail Enquiries for rail information. \nComing by Road\nParking on Sunday is OK on single yellow lines in Westminster or you can stay safe with the NCP car parks. There is one just north of Trafalgar Square. Please remember there is no parking at the assembly point in Hyde Park nor any at Trafalgar Square. \nThe AA main routes and parking information. The procession assembles just inside Hyde Park -500 yards west of Hyde Park Corner. You will clearly spot the three colourful carts as you approach. There are three or four kirtan (singing and instrument) sections\, each with dancers. You can pull the ropes on the cart (which bestows liberation) but please follow the instructions of stewards and staff. The cart leaves Hyde Park promptly at mid-day and arrives at Trafalgar Square around 2.30pm. This can feel like a long journey on a hot day and a OAP van is provided at the rear of the procession for the infirm. Bring a bottle of water to refresh yourself along the way. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Preview from previous festivals

Do ask if you are unsure about anything. \nPujaris are unable to carry your children so kindly carry very small ones (1 child per adult)\, unless they can walk. If a child is distressed\, please wait until they have calmed down before approaching to bathe. \nYoung children (those under 7 years) will not be given a conch of their own and will need to share with an adult. They can hold the adult’s arm or body. \nDo not touch the Deities. \nPlease only bathe the Deities once\, even if you wish to bathe on behalf of someone else. Before or on receiving the conch\, silently declare to the Lord the names of the one or two people you are bathing for (including yourself). \nDo not carry bags while bathing. You will be asked to put them down and collect them again once you have finished bathing. A rucksack is OK. \nBathe from the top only. That means the head of the Deities only – not the feet or arms. \nDo not take selfies while bathing. Give the camera or phone to someone else who is not on the stage. \nPlease offer your obeisances off the stage. \nDevotees are always eager to serve. Please do so at the Snana-yatra festival by bathing the Deities. Kindly do not approach to wave a fan or hold the Deity\, even if you are brahman initiated. You will be refused\, and we do not wish to offend any persons. \nSri Sri Jagannatha Baladeva Subhadra ki jaya! \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Live Stream\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYouTube\n\nClick here to view the live stream \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFacebook\n\nClick here to view the live stream \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Frequently asked questions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo I need Tickets?\n\n\n\nTickets are not required \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill there be parking available?\n\n\n\nYes.
