Vacancy: Volunteer Office Administrator

To foster a positive, nurturing, and organised environment for volunteers by overseeing day-to-day office operations. You will act as a key point of contact for volunteer support, training, communication, and support all departments and events—including small gatherings and large-scale festivals like Janmashtami with volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Engagement & Support
    • Provide a welcoming presence at the volunteer office and respond to volunteer enquiries with compassion and efficiency
    • Care for volunteers by addressing welfare needs and promoting a positive volunteering culture
    • Match volunteers to appropriate opportunities and ensure they are well supported and appreciated
  • Training & Administration
    • – Coordinate volunteer inductions and manage training communications, resolving technical issues with online platforms
    • – Maintain accurate volunteer records and update the volunteer database regularly
    • – Support the recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of new volunteers.
  • Events & Programme Support
    • Organise Volunteer events, including venue bookings and communications
    • Assist VCC Team Leads with scheduling, orientations, sangas, logistics, and coordination
  • Communications & Outreach
    • Promote volunteer opportunities using emails, social media, WhatsApp, and other communication channels
    • Inspire engagement through regular updates and spotlighting exciting opportunities
  • Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
    • Provide written reports and data summaries for internal planning

Skills / Qualifications

  • Organised, proactive, and approachable
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT skills (email, spreadsheets, databases)
  • Passion for community service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
