The School of Bhakti is delighted to open its doors and invite you to the world of Yoga. We offer you an experience that is physically stimulating, mentally relaxing, and spiritually uplifting.
There is evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains, depression, and stress, to name a few conditions. While good physical and mental health are natural consequences of yoga, the approach of yoga is more far-reaching and holistic. An hour of Hatha/Vinyasa yoga: postures and a series of movements to help develop a balance of physical strength and flexibility. We also learn to balance our effort and surrender in each pose.
Each yoga lesson also includes
Pranayama: Prana, the vital force, regulates all physical functions: breathing, supply of oxygen, digestion, elimination, etc. and Yama means control. Pranayama consists of concentrating on one’s breathing followed by willful regulation of respiration as the vital function of one’s existence. It helps in developing awareness of one’s mind and brings a level of stillness, besides many other physiological and health benefits.
Guided meditation: deep relaxation of the mind. You can expect some Mantra meditation too!
As with any form of exercise, the technique and timing of each exercise are crucial. Practicing Yoga in the company of an instructor, with concentration and regularity, helps achieve the best results. With such a cherubic instructor as Kishori, you are guaranteed to keep your smile throughout the session and leave with a spring in your step.
