Course Description
Astrology continues to influence the lives and decisions of millions of people around the world. But what role should astrology play in the life of a spiritual practitioner? In this thought-provoking seminar, HH Bhanu Swami explores astrology from the perspective of Vedic wisdom and bhakti-yoga, examining its relevance, benefits, limitations, and proper application in contemporary society.
Drawing on scriptural insights and practical experience, participants will gain a balanced understanding of how astrology can be understood within the framework of Krishna consciousness, while avoiding common misconceptions and overdependence. This seminar is ideal for anyone seeking clarity on the relationship between destiny, free will, karma, and devotion in the modern age.
Teacher Profile
Bhanu Swami has been a GBC member since 2003 A scholar in Sanskrit and Bengali, Bhanu Swami has translated fifteen significant works of the Gaudiya Vaishnava canon, with six more titles in progress. Many of these works are commentaries from primary members of the Gaudiya sampradaya on the Bhagavad-gita, Sri-Isopanishad, and Srimad Bhagavatam. Thus, Bhanu Swami’s contribution is a lasting one: ISKCON Sanyasi and translated more than 160 vedic literatures in english which was written by Archaryas 500 years ago.
He continues with this translation service to this day, giving us the nectar from the Bengali and Sanskrit works of the previous Vaishnava acharyas to enhance our understanding of the Gaudiya Vaishnava philosophy. He is also a member of the Governing Body Commission of ISKCON.
