Course Description

You'll be introduced to a variety of beads, gemstones, pearls, wires, and decorative materials, learning how to choose colours, shapes, and combinations that enhance the beauty of the Deities. With step-by-step guidance, you'll master essential beadwork techniques while discovering how thoughtful craftsmanship can become a meaningful expression of bhakti. Throughout the workshop, you'll create stunning necklaces using simple and more intricate four-bead patterns, gaining the skills and confidence to continue making jewellery for your home altar or temple Deities. There will be plenty of hands-on practice, personalised guidance, and practical tips suitable for both beginners and those wishing to refine their existing skills. Whether you're serving Deities at home, assisting in a temple, or simply looking to deepen your devotional service through a creative offering, this workshop provides a wonderful opportunity to develop a timeless skill while engaging your heart, hands, and consciousness in Krishna's service.
Teacher Bio
Ananda Lila Devi Dasi was introduced to Krishna consciousness at a young age in 1989. She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Honours) in Physics from the University of Delhi. She is an initiated disciple of His Holiness Radhanath Swami Maharaj. Before moving to Sri Dham Mayapur, she served as a pujari at ISKCON Alachua in the USA. Since 2010, she has been residing in Sri Dham Mayapur with her husband. She currently serves as the Dean of Mayapur Academy, where she teaches Temple Worship, Festivals (Utsavas and Abhishekas), Deity Cooking, Dress Design, and Home Worship.
She also serves as the Design Director of Mayapur Divine Threads, the Deity Outfits Workshop of ISKCON Mayapur, specialising in the design and production of customised Deity outfits for ISKCON temples and centres worldwide.
