Festival Sankirtan: Celebrate, Share, and Serve

Festival Sankirtan: Celebrate, Share, and Serve

Want to try book distribution in a fun and festive setting?
Want to celebrate Vaishnava festival days while fully taking advantage of the mercy available?
Want to help spread joy, wisdom — and cookies — on special festival days?

If you answered yes to any of the above, Festival Sankirtan is for you!

This year, join the team as they celebrate ten days of festivals on Watford High Street, expanding the bliss of the festival beyond the temple and bringing the festive mood out onto the streets. You can take part in harinam, distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books, or offer delicious prasadam cookies — all within a relaxed, welcoming, and joyful atmosphere.

There is no pressure to participate in any particular activity or to distribute a set number of books. Simply coming along — whether on your own or with family and friends — is already a wonderful service.

Srila Prabhupada described festivals as the “mother of devotion”, as they give a powerful boost to one’s spiritual life. On these mercy-filled occasions, we have a special opportunity to invite others to take part as well. By sharing the mercy of the personality we are celebrating, the public benefits — and we receive even greater mercy in return. Reaching out to others in this way is an act especially dear to the Lord and His devotees.
