Temple President signs Covenant to promote respect amongst faiths

Bhaktivedanta Manor’s Temple President, Her Grace Visakha Dasi, joined 21 other senior faith representatives and those in the field of education from across Hertfordshire County for a special interfaith event:

Hertfordshire County Council was host to the signing of the Hertfordshire Faith Covenant. It is a joint commitment to a shared set of principles that guide engagement between faith communities and public services . It aims to promote open, practical modes of working together and to strengthen community cohesion.

“The event was not merely sentiment, ” explained Manor Communications Secretary Radha Mohan das. “We live in troubled times, and it is the duty of faith leaders and other faith representatives to set an example for the younger generations”.

A similar event is planned by the Hertsmere Forum of Faiths, which is supported by Hertsmere Borough Council based in Borehamwood.
