The wellbeing retreat

Experience complete wellbeing

Complete wellbeing means to be aware, conscious and healthy in the mind, body and soul. We often focus on the body, seldom on the mind, and rarely on the soul. On this retreat, you will get a first hand experience of wellbeing on all these levels, and you’ll learn things that you can practice at home and take it all with you.

Why all the fuss?

Well, December is an important month for us. One of our goals is to reach out to society and share the secret wisdom of ancient eastern texts with everyone. This knowledge can help one tremendously, on a material and spiritual level, and give you the paradigm shift to see the world in a completely different perspective, and be happy on a wholesome level.

So all of December, we reach out and share these amazing books, and hold a retreat for those who are interested to know more so you can start the new year with enthusiasm and equipped with spiritual wisdom. And it’s all FREE!

Date: Saturday 6 January, 2024

Time: 10am – 6pm

Venue: Bhaktivedanta Manor, Watford WD25 8EZ

Entry, activities and lunch: FREE

Here are a few things that are part of the retreat

  • Yoga for physical wellbeing

Many of us may have been to yoga sessions before, but this one’s different! We’ll teach you a practice you can do at home, plus you’ll be doing yoga with another 100+ people (hopefully). Now that’s an experience to be had! It’ll be taught by Kishori who is an expert fully qualified yoga teacher.

  • The cow experience

What’s the deal with cows? Well cows are special in Eastern culture, and studies have shown that being with cows, milking and brushing them is therapeutic on another level! We have a cow protection centre with over 70 cows and oxen that live their entire life grazing on green grass – the cows all hand milked and oxen helping out on the farm. They all are part of the community (yes, they have names too!) and you’ll get to meet, brush, feed, milk and cuddle them!

  • Seminar on spiritual resilience

Life is full of twists and turns, ups and downs and we all go through our ‘dark night of the soul’ at least once in a while. It is important to stay balanced, fulfilled and be able to go through reversals in life and get through even stronger. In this seminar we’ll show you how to do that. And it’ll be fun too!

  • Tour of a spiritual sanctuary

Bhaktivedanta Manor (where the retreat is being held) is a spiritual haven. Nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside in over 80 acres of land, it houses a mock-Tudor mansion that functions as a temple, many gardens, a woodland wisdom walk, cow protection centre, an organic farm and much more. You’ll feel like you just died and went to heaven (like the Bryan Adams song)

  • Mantra meditation (kirtan)

Mantra literally means to ‘free the mind’ and is a spiritual chant that when sung with music in unison liberates an energy that will transport you to a different, higher, spiritual plane. It’s an experience everyone should have at least once in a lifetime, and this might just be your chance. It’s also known as kirtan. (Now don’t go googling it, just wait till you get to the retreat.) Well, if you have to google it, search for Jahnavi Harrison – she’s one of the best artists out there!

  • A conscious vegetarian meal

Now you’re thinking what on earth is a conscious vegetarian meal? It means it’s food prepared in full spiritual consciousness, with vegetables that are organically grown, and served with love. It’s called ‘prasadam’ and that consciousness of the food gets transferred into you. You have to experience it!

Sorry, but we’re fully booked!
