The wellbeing retreat

Experience complete wellbeing

Complete wellbeing encompasses a harmonious balance of mind, body, and soul. While we often prioritize physical health, we tend to overlook the mind and rarely connect with the soul. This retreat offers you a transformative journey to nurture all three aspects, providing firsthand experiences and practical tools you can carry home to sustain and deepen your holistic wellbeing.

Why all the fuss?

December holds special significance for us as a time to connect with society and share the timeless wisdom of ancient Eastern texts. These teachings offer profound insights that can transform both material and spiritual aspects of life, empowering you to see the world through a fresh perspective and experience true, holistic happiness.

Throughout December, we’ll be sharing these remarkable books and hosting a free retreat for those eager to dive deeper into this knowledge. It’s the perfect opportunity to begin the new year with renewed enthusiasm, equipped with spiritual wisdom to guide your journey. And yes, it’s completely free!

Here are a few things that are part of the retreat

  • Yoga for physical wellbeing

Many of us may have been to yoga sessions before, but this one’s different! We’ll teach you a practice you can do at home, plus you’ll be doing yoga with another 100+ people (hopefully). Now that’s an experience to be had! It’ll be taught by Kishori who is an expert fully qualified yoga teacher.

  • The cow experience

What’s the deal with cows? Well cows are special in Eastern culture, and studies have shown that being with cows, milking and brushing them is therapeutic on another level! We have a cow protection centre with over 70 cows and oxen that live their entire life grazing on green grass – the cows all hand milked and oxen helping out on the farm. They all are part of the community (yes, they have names too!) and you’ll get to meet, brush, feed, milk and cuddle them!

  • Sound Bath

A sound bath with Tibetan bowls is a meditative experience where the soothing vibrations and harmonics of the bowls are used to create a deeply relaxing and healing atmosphere. The resonant sounds help calm the mind, release tension in the body, and promote a sense of inner balance and tranquility. This practice is often used to enhance meditation, reduce stress, and restore energetic harmony.

  • Seminar on spiritual resilience

Life is full of twists and turns, ups and downs and we all go through our ‘dark night of the soul’ at least once in a while. It is important to stay balanced, fulfilled and be able to go through reversals in life and get through even stronger. In this seminar we’ll show you how to do that. And it’ll be fun too!

  • Tour of a spiritual sanctuary

Bhaktivedanta Manor (where the retreat is being held) is a spiritual haven. Nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside in over 80 acres of land, it houses a mock-Tudor mansion that functions as a temple, many gardens, a woodland wisdom walk, cow protection centre, an organic farm and much more. You’ll feel like you just died and went to heaven (like the Bryan Adams song)

  • Mantra meditation (kirtan)

Mantra literally means to ‘free the mind’ and is a spiritual chant that when sung with music in unison liberates an energy that will transport you to a different, higher, spiritual plane. It’s an experience everyone should have at least once in a lifetime, and this might just be your chance. It’s also known as kirtan. (Now don’t go googling it, just wait till you get to the retreat.) Well, if you have to google it, search for Jahnavi Harrison – she’s one of the best artists out there!

  • A conscious vegetarian meal

Now you’re thinking what on earth is a conscious vegetarian meal? It means it’s food prepared in full spiritual consciousness, with vegetables that are organically grown, and served with love. It’s called ‘prasadam’ and that consciousness of the food gets transferred into you. You have to experience it!

What if I’m not free on the 11th January, 2025?

Well, we understand everyone has plans…. but if you can change them to come to this retreat, it’ll be awesome! Haha, just kidding (but not really….) Still, read on.

We have a few other things on offer just in case

We organise retreats all the time. Some are based on yoga, others on spiritual wisdom, mantra meditation, and even trips and getaways in the UK, to Europe and to India. In fact there is something every month. So if you like, you could sign up to go on our database and we’ll keep you updated!

Soul expressions is a Saturday evening event with music, mantra meditation, kirtan, stories, wisdom and dinner. It’s all free again, as usual. The next one is on the 14th December, Saturday from 5.30pm onwards. You could come to that?

How about take the leap and go to India & Nepal on a spiritual retreat? We hold these retreats every year, and the next one starts on the 1st of March. We do everything for you, all you have to do is show up at the airport. They’re fun, enlivening, and won’t punch a hole through your pocket either.
