The children of Gurukula – The Hare Krishna Primary School (near Bhaktivedanta Manor) took part in a community clean-up of the Gurukula grounds and the neighbouring Hilton Hotel car park.
The initiative was organised by our Eco Council members, who:
Designed posters to promote the event
Gave a presentation to the whole school about the importance of caring for our environment
Helped lead groups of children (ages 4–11) in the clean-up
During the activity, the Hilton manager came out to personally thank the children for their efforts.

At Gurukula, we see caring for Mother Bhumi (the Earth) as a vital part of our curriculum, teaching children to respect and protect the environment.
