The School of Bhakti is a spiritually focused educational organisation dedicated to sharing timeless wisdom, personal growth, and community learning. Through courses, retreats, and events, we aim to inspire individuals to lead meaningful and purpose-driven lives.

The Role

We are looking for a highly organised, creative and proactive Social Media and Admin Assistant to support the smooth running of our courses, events, and operations. You will also be a hands-on creative who helps bring our courses, events and community to life on our platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok). This is a varied and dynamic role, ideal for someone who enjoys content creation, administration and coordination, and being part of a mission-driven team.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop ideas for reels, interviews and campaigns, and deliver the social media content calendar
  • Capture footage at courses and events, including short interviews and testimonials
  • Edit videos and create graphics using CapCut, Canva or similar tools
  • Write engaging captions, schedule posts through Buffer, and respond to comments and messages
  • Track performance, share simple reports, and use the findings to improve content
  • Coordinate course administration, communications and bookings, as set out in the Working Pattern below

Additional Requirements

  • Flexibility to support occasional events and festivals
  • Availability to adjust working hours during approximately 4 annual retreats
  • Occasional lifting of chairs and foldable tables to set up classrooms
  • Willingness to assist other Manor departments during busy periods

About You

  • A strong creative eye and good writing skills
  • An understanding of our audience and community
  • Examples of a social media account you have managed or helped grow, whether your own or someone else’s
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a friendly, service-oriented approach
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently
  • Comfortable using digital tools, spreadsheets, and communication platforms
  • Experience in administration, coordination, or similar roles preferred
  • Alignment with the values and ethos of the School of Bhakti
  • Bonus: experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects

Working Pattern (subject to change)

Wednesday (9am to 4pm)

  • Instruct Course Champions with detailed set up for weekend ahead
  • Plan Course Champions for next 2 weeks
  • Send Course Champions end of course slide with feedback form QR code and upcoming courses
  • Check next quarter of courses automated reminder emails, confirmation emails, Zoom links, student material links, feedback forms and thank you emails are correct
  • Content planning, video editing, graphics, captions and scheduling on Buffer
  • Edit videos and create graphics using CapCut, Canva or similar tools

Thursday (9am to 4pm)

  • Ensure podcasts are being posted and hyped and the editor is on track
  • Review social media impact
  • Content creation, scheduling, and responding to comments and messages
  • Develop reel, interview and any campaign ideas, and execute the social media content calendar
  • Ensure tracker and calendar are updated and matching with the Manor booking calendar
  • Track performance and share simple reports, using the findings to improve content
  • Info inbox emails
  • Business WhatsApp responding

Sunday (11am to 6:30pm)

  • Support courses and set up for afternoon courses
  • Send WhatsApp marketing team courses to promote
  • Capture footage at courses and events, including short interviews
  • Write engaging captions, schedule posts through Buffer and respond to comments and messages
  • Sunday table 4:30pm to 5:30pm and pack up
  • Pack up of all courses, check all rooms are tidy, crumbs and teabags in bin, urn switched off and rooms locked

* There may be other ad hoc activities and projects within School of Bhakti that you will be required to help with within your contracted hours, as well as support to other Manor Departments during festival periods.

** We have around 4 Day Retreats a year where your weekly timings will need to be adjusted, and certain Manor events where you need to be present, but these will be communicated in advance.
