A Sacred Ceremony for Leadership Transition at Avanti Schools Trust

A beautiful and heartfelt yajna ceremony was held to honour a significant moment in the journey of the Avanti Schools Trust. The ceremony was conducted to express deep gratitude to Nitesh Gor OBE (Navina Krsna das), the Founding CEO, and to warmly welcome Dr James Biddulph MBE as the new CEO of the Trust.

The ceremony was filled with spiritual energy, love, and a sense of auspiciousness, involving kirtan led by young people from Avanti House Secondary School.

The event was attended by Trustees of Avanti Schools, devotees and temple leaders, benefactors and those who have worked at Avanti, including current Principals and central Heads of Department.

Nitesh said, “James is our man and Avanti is in safe hands with his leadership. When James was Headteacher of Avanti Court in 2012, he was the first school leader to start a Rathayatra festival, leading spirituality and the faith from the outset.”

James brings a wealth of experience, including leading the opening of the University of Cambridge Primary School, where he received his doctorate and was awarded his MBE. In receiving Nitesh’s blessings, he said, “It is an honour to serve Avanti Schools and advance the vital importance of education that attends to mind, body and soul: I am excited to continue the work to inspire spiritually compassionate change-makers.”
