Devotee Care Health and Wellbeing Fest
Bhaktivedanta Manor was abuzz with enthusiasm and inspiration as the Devotee Care Office, in collaboration with the Bhaktivedanta Medical Association, hosted the second annual Devotee Care Fest. This event aimed to increase awareness of the importance of looking after our physical bodies in order to serve well. This brought together congregation members for a day dedicated to body, mind and soul health. There were special talks, presentations and videos, children’s activities, cookery workshops and competitions designed to promote physical activity and healthy eating. Bhaktivedanta Players’ dramas in Mauritius
Jaya Krishna das from the Bhaktivedanta Players was invited to Mauritius to participate in their largest annual festival: The three-day public Mahebourg Boat Festival. Jaya Krishna das, with talented local devotees performed the Advent of Lord Krishna and The Ramayana (Sita in Ashoka Groves). Needless to say, during the performance, the festival tent was at maximum audience capacity. The festival managers were impressed with high quality of the dramas, and expressed their wish for it be a regular feature at the event. Jaya Krishna das was also invited to national radio to talk about subjects related to Krishna consciousness.
