Mission to Liverpool

Mission to Liverpool

A dedicated team of brahmacaris (monks) from Bhaktivedanta Manor, who have based themselves in Liverpool, continue their noble quest.

Backed-up by the distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books and hari nama street processions, every Saturday and Wednesday they run programs which attract about 30 regulars each time. They have also organised kirtan events with local bohemians.

A recent highlight was when they filled the city’s renowned Adelphi hall, and in another venue staged a concert.

Throughout March, the team have also cooked and distributed 600 prasadam meals (sanctified vegetarian food).

If that were not enough, they have also received positive coverage in local media. No doubt deserving.

Antaranga das is overseeing the operations in the city. “Sharing ancient spiritual knowledge in the modern world is not an easy task”, he explained “…but when you see people taking up Krishna consciousness seriously, it’s a wonderful feeling!”
