The Dice Game at Midlands Arts Centre

The Dice Game at Midlands Arts Centre

In mid-July, after over eight months of dedicated work, The Dice Game was brought to life by the School of Bhakti Productions at the Midlands Arts Centre — a powerful retelling of the legendary gambling match from the Mahabharata.

With an early morning departure, the full cast and crew set off for Birmingham, filled with excitement and purpose. As both Production Manager and the actress portraying Princess Draupadi, I had the privilege of experiencing the intensity, passion, and devotion that had gone into every scene.

The result? A truly unforgettable performance that left the audience mesmerised and heartfelt. There was not a dry eye in the room, and the standing ovation at the end was a testament to the emotional depth and power of the production.

They were incredibly honoured to welcome special guests including His Holiness Dayananda Swami, the Lord Mayor of Birmingham and the Consul General of the India Embassy. Their presence and blessings made the occasion even more meaningful.

This was more than just a performance — it was a heartfelt offering, a celebration of culture, and a beautiful example of what can be achieved through teamwork, devotion, and shared vision. Here’s to the many more stories we’ll bring to life!
