Recently, Jaya Kṛṣṇa Das was invited to share his reflections on the extraordinary Mahā Kumbha Melā 2025 in a documentary produced by videographer, Vittorio Haley.

The documentary offers a unique perspective through the eyes of pilgrims from the UK who journeyed to India to experience this once-in-a-generation spiritual gathering. It presents two personal viewpoints: one from a local Hindu resident living in Hendon, and the other from Jaya Kṛṣṇa Das from Bhaktivedanta Manor, who had the great fortune of witnessing first-hand one of the largest and most awe-inspiring religious events in human history.

Held at the sacred Triveṇī Saṅgam in Prayagraj, the Mahā Kumbha Melā 2025 drew hundreds of millions of pilgrims, sādhus, saints and seekers from every corner of India and around the world.

Among the many spiritual organisations present, ISKCON had a vibrant and inspiring presence, welcoming thousands of visitors each day. Through harināma saṅkīrtana, book distribution, prasādam, exhibitions, lectures and the chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, devotees from around the world shared Śrīla Prabhupāda’s message of Kṛṣṇa consciousness with pilgrims from every background. It was a wonderful opportunity to witness Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s prediction that the holy name of Kṛṣṇa would be heard in every town and village.

This documentary captures not only the epic scale of the Mahā Kumbha Melā but also the deeply personal experiences, encounters and spiritual reflections of devotees who travelled from abroad to immerse themselves in this unforgettable festival of faith.
