Course Description

Modern life often feels fragmented—busy yet unfulfilling, informed yet uncertain about what truly matters. Across cultures and centuries, people have asked the same essential questions: Why are we here? Why do we suffer? What happens at death? And how should we live?

In this 3-hour immersive seminar, we explore how the Srimad Bhagavatam—one of India’s most profound wisdom texts—systematically answers these questions through philosophy, cosmology, and transformative narratives. Drawing primarily from Cantos 1–6, this session introduces the Bhagavatam’s unique explanation of reality: the nature of the self, karma and time, the structure of the universe, the causes of suffering, and the path to lasting meaning through devotion (bhakti).

Rather than presenting isolated stories or abstract theory, the seminar reveals the inner logic and progression of the Bhagavatam—showing how its teachings move the listener from confusion to clarity, from fear of death to understanding its purpose, and from searching for meaning to living with direction.

Teacher Bio

HH Bhakti Prachar Parivrajak Swami was born and brought up in West Bengal, India. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Saint Xavier’s college, Kolkata in the year 1993. He was a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant by profession. He was introduced to Krishna Consciousness in the year 1994. In 1996, he dedicated himself fully to the service of ISKCON, especially in Sridham Mayapur, the movement’s international headquarters.He offered significant services to ISKCON Mayapur in various leadership and management positions such as General Manager, Deputy Director, Vice-Chairman of Mayapur Administrative Council. He was involved in developing the Food for Life program of ISKCON Mayapur as the chairman. He is a natural preacher as well, attracting many souls by his intelligent presentation of Krishna consciousness. He started and developed College Preaching, Bhakti Vriksha Preaching and other outreach activities at ISKCON Mayapur. He has been serving as a traveling preacher of ISKCON spreading the message of Bhagavad Gita and Sanatan Dharma all over the world.His preaching services include training and development of Youth and Bhakti Vriksha groups for ISKCON Mayapur and other centres of ISKCON.Apart from preaching services, he is serving as Regional Secretary of ISKCON for various states of Bharat. He is also serving as Chairman of the ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya at Sri Govardhan Dham.He was awarded Sannyasa initiation by HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja on 3rd September, 2022 at Sridham Mayapur. He is also involved in the service of promotion and development of Navadvipa Mandal and Gaura Mandal Bhumi.
