Born and raised in Kenya, I have always had a spiritual inclination. My dream as a young child was to become a teacher, and Krishna has kindly fulfilled that dream – I now teach Philosophy, Religion and Ethics at Avanti Court Primary School in East London, where I live with my husband and three sons.
The practical aspect of bhakti really revealed itself when I started serving on the Volunteer Care Council. By guiding and caring for volunteers, I am learning how to put others before myself. It brings me joy to see new volunteers grow in their spiritual lives, and their selfless service attitude never fails to touch my heart. I hope to continue helping them get closer to Krishna through their service, and thus please Srila Prabhupada and my spiritual master.
