Hare Krishna festival in Norwich

On Friday 21st January ladies from Bhaktivedanta Manor’s ashram organised a magnificent festival at the Keir Hardie Hall in Norwich.

Madhurya Gourangi dasi and Chandra Mohini dasi, with help from others, are running a group in the area which meets weekly. They discovered there was considerable interest in Krishna Consciousness in the area, and this was confirmed when over 130 people attended on the Friday. Even the Mayor came!

The Lord Mayor of Norwich Cllr Tom Dylan was presented with a copy of the Bhagavad Gita and sweets by Madhurya Gourangi dasi and Chandra Mohini dasi.

The evening including an impressive stage show.

There was Bharat Natyam dance, a comedy drama and even a magic show!

It wouldn’t be a Hare Krishna festival, of course, without kirtan! (devotional music)

Another vital ingredient to the evening was delicious prasad (santified vegetarian food)

Guests were overwhelmed by the generosity of the devotees.

Jagat Priya dasi ran the book stall.

Guests has the opportunity to ask questions from experienced devotees like Kripa Moya das.
