Every year, devotees are invited to submit an offering to honour Srila Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, on the occasion of his appearance day. Those offerings are compiled and published in a beautiful, printed book that will be presented to him on his appearance day (5th September this year).

You are requested to write an offering. Please note these few guidelines for your submissions:

General Guidelines for Your Vyasa Puja Offering

Opening of an Offering
It can begin:
“Dear Srila Prabhupada,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to you on this auspicious day of your Vyasa Puja.”
(Or something along those lines.)

Content Suggestions:

Glorification of Srila Prabhupada’s qualities, pastimes, contributions to society, and how he affected our lives.

Scriptural References
A verse describing a pure devotee’s qualities and our realisation of those qualities in Srila Prabhupada. You may copy brief verses/quotations from Veda-base. Please retain the diacritics, if any. Kindly mention the name of the book, chapter number, and verse number or any reference number, as it’s written in Srila Prabhupada’s books. For example: SB 6.4.15. Include the English translation if the verse is not well known.

Spiritual Progress
How has Srila Prabhupada helped you? How are you carrying out his orders? How has your life been changed by his influence?

These are suggestions, but an offering doesn’t have to stick to this format. Please express your heartfelt gratitude to and love for Srila Prabhupada. (Kindly note, however: the Vyasapuja offering is meant to glorify the spiritual master. Offerings are not be used as a platform for airing grievances.)

Naming Format
Please include your initiated or legal name (prefixed by “Bhakta” if men / “Bhaktin” if women). In case of legal name, mention your initials/surnames after your name only. Ex: Bhaktin Shailaja M S / Bhakta Raghuram P/ Bhaktin Suma Manikyam/ Bhakta Prashanth Mulkatte / Raja Rama Dasa / Pavana Putra Dasa / Sita Rani Devi Dasi.
