Course Description
Marriage is one of life’s most profound spiritual journeys, bringing together two individuals with unique needs, expectations, aspirations, and desires. While modern culture often encourages us to prioritise personal happiness and fulfilment, the wisdom of the Bhakti tradition invites us to consider a deeper question: How do we balance our desires with our duties in a way that nourishes both the relationship and the soul?
In this interactive 3-hour workshop, we will explore the dynamic tension between duty (dharma) and desire (kāma) within marriage. Drawing upon timeless Vedic teachings, practical insights, and real-life applications, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how dharmic principles can guide decision-making, communication, intimacy, commitment, and conflict resolution.
Together, we will examine:
- The roles of dharma and desire in a healthy marriage
- How expectations, attachments, and personal needs influence relationships
- Balancing individual fulfilment with mutual responsibility
- Navigating disagreements when duty and desire appear to conflict
- Cultivating devotion, respect, and spiritual purpose within marriage
- Practical tools for creating harmony and long-term relationship resilience
Whether you are newly married, have been together for many years, or are seeking a deeper understanding of spiritual relationships, this course offers valuable insights for building a marriage that is both fulfilling and founded on timeless principles of Bhakti wisdom.
Join us as we explore how duty and desire need not be opposing forces, but can work together to create a marriage rooted in love, growth, and spiritual purpose.
