Teacher Bio
Hari Shyama Das has been practising Krishna consciousness since 2010 when he met the devotees in Chicago whilst he was working as producer for the History channel. From 2012 to 2020, he lived and served as a monk at ISKCON Chicago, where he led university outreach, organised Ratha-yatras, supported community development and managed Krishna Lunch. He also travelled throughout North America, Colombia, Mexico and Panama, distributing books. During his time in Chicago, he founded The Sanctuary, a relaxed space where university students could discover Krishna consciousness.
In 2023, he married and continued serving the congregation at ISKCON Ypsilanti, Michigan, as well as other devotional communities through online sangas and classes.
He moved to the UK in March 2026 and currently works at a startup in London while assisting several senior devotees with their writing and outreach efforts.
